More Than a Majority – A Collective Vision
My highly detailed and unique art work invites the viewer to step into the rich and vibrant world of women.
By bringing these narratives forward, I reveal how much has been hidden: women have been creating, shaping, and influencing history since the beginning of time, yet their voices and achievements have so often been denied.
My highly detailed and unique art work challenges viewers to confront the realities of equality and sexism, both in the past and in the world we live in now.
Fi Marks is a UK-based visual artist whose art practice centres on uncovering the overlooked narratives of women throughout history. Her work moves beyond representation to explore the complex, often silenced dialogue between women’s lived experiences and the versions of history that have been recorded, remembered, or deliberately omitted.
Fi Marks’ work has appeared in exhibitions across the UK and is held in private collections all over the world. She believes her art finds its truest purpose when it sparks dialogue, encourages empathy, and inspires viewers to reconsider the narratives that shape our collective past and present.
More than representation, her work is an act of recovery, honouring women’s contributions and prompting a dialogue between the past and persistent inequalities of the present.
My highly detailed and unique art work challenges viewers to confront the realities of equality and sexism, both in the past and in the world we live in now.
I draw attention to the countless women whose stories have been overlooked, erased, or filtered through a male-dominated historical lens.
By bringing these narratives forward, I reveal how much has been hidden: women have been creating, shaping, and influencing history since the beginning of time, yet their voices and achievements have so often been denied.
