We are a powerhouse collective of four female artists, Fi Marks, Paula Telizyn, Susan Gardner, and Jela Prančić. We are dedicated to reclaimed space, shared creative dialogue, and the pursuit of excellence in contemporary art.
Meet The Fifty-One Percent
Consisting of two Canadian artists and two British artists, this international group is preparing to change how the public experiences art shows.
Jela Prančić
Toronto-based, mixed media artist, Jela Prančić’s art explores the intersections of history, mysticism, and science, inviting viewers to reflect on the unseen forces that shape human experience.
Fi Marks
Through a distinctive practice that builds texture from historical textiles, Fi Marks creates paintings that are both vivid artworks and acts of feminist recovery.
Paula Telizyn
Paula Telizyn is an expressive portrait artist currently based in London, Ontario, Canada. Her work focuses on belonging, and how we curate ourselves to be more palatable to others.
Susan Gardner
Susan Gardner is a contemporary British painter working primarily in oil. She creates expressive, colour-rich paintings inspired by animals, birds and the natural world.
The Story
Of Four Women, One Vision
Our collective story began in 2025, when a group of artists got together and discovered the power they had collectively.
Getting together turned into a weekly lifeline, and deepened into friendships.
The Fifty-One Percent was born out of a desire to do more with our art. To do bigger shows. To reach farther. And to do it all together.
